7 Klein Forest Athletes Participate in 2025 National Signing Day
KLEIN, TX—Seven student-athletes signed a letter of intent for the college of their choice today during Klein Forest’s National Signing Day celebration.
“This day is always fun and exciting to see our student-athletes celebrated for their accomplishments both in the classroom and on their athletic playing,” Klein Forest Athletic Director Darrick Vaughn said. “We have great young men and women here that represent Klein Forest and Klein ISD daily. Anytime we can celebrate them is always a joy. We wish them well in their next experiences in college and look forward to them returning to share their stories and journey with future classes.”
The signing day ceremony recognized many years of hard work and was an emotional day for students, teams, families, and coaches.
“This day means a lot to me and it’s really exciting to be in the position that I’m in,” Texas State signee TJ Burkhalter said. “My mom always helped me keep my head up, stick to the same path, and believe in God in order to continue to keep doing what I do and, now, I’m able to play at the next level. It’s been a challenging journey to get here. To finally find a place that feels like home at Texas State was really exciting. Hopefully, I make it to the NFL in the future, but at the end of the day, I want to have my own cattle operation and major in Agriculture Business.”
For these athletes, like 2x State Champion and University of Minnesota signee Kyaliah Davis, this moment is the culmination of years of resilience, hard work, and faith.
“Honestly, this day means everything to me,” Davis said. “Coming in my 9th-grade year and being the little fish and the underdog... it means everything to know that all this work finally paid off, and I just want to thank God, my parents, Coach Wright, and everybody here at Klein Forest for the support.”
