ACT Student Champion Scholarship

Amt: $500
Must have taken the ACT
Overcome challenges and can articulate education and career actions
ACT score of a 22 on a single test date
GPA 3.0 of greater on a 4.0 scale
A preference will be given to an underrepresented and/or first generation college students

Application deadline: Dec. 31, 2017. Champions will be notified on or before April 2, 2018.

AXA Achievement Scholarship

Amt: $2,500, $10,000, $25,000
Req: Be a US citizen
Full time student in an accredited 2 year or 4 year college or university
Demonstrate ambition and self-motivation as evidence by outstanding achievement in school
Community or work related activities

Deadline: Dec. 15, 2017 or 10,000 applicants

Barbara Lotze Scholarship
Amt: $2000 (5)
Enrolled in a 2 year 4 year college or University
Pursuing or planning a course of study leading to a career in physics teaching in the high school level.
A Citizen of the US
Deadline: Dec 5, 2017

Boston University Trustee Scholarship
Amt: Full 4 year, full tuition scholarship to BU
Req: 600 word essay completed online on the common application. Questions are listed there.
A short essay of no more than 300 words to answer the question:
"Something that's not on the resume"
Give a glimpse of a passion, dream or mental pursuit that absorbs and delights you.
Deadline: December 1, 2017

The Home Service Club Scholarship
Amt: $2000 1 scholarship

High school seniors who are residents of the US
Post a video responding to the prompt: "What are you passionate about and why do you want to go to college?"
The video entries are to be 30 seconds to 1 minute in length and should include a short description of what you are passionate about, #HSCWarrantyScholarship and a link to
Video must be an original and not taken from any other source.

Jefferson Scholars Foundation
Amt: Merit Based, fully funded scholarship to the University of Virginia
$150,000 for Virginia residents and $280,000 for non- residents.
This also includes enrichment experiences including a six-week foreign travel experience and internship opportunities with our alumni network.

Requirements: Be an exceptional student.
Nomination deadline: is Dec 1,2017

National Space Club Scholarship
Amt: 1 $10,000
Must be a US Citizen
Must be at least senior in high school
Must have the intention of pursuing a career in the STEM fields and plan to attend an accredited school with a preference for those with space related interests.
Can only use the $10000 scholarship towards tuition during the 2018-2019 academic year
Must not have previously spoken at the Dr RobertH Goddard Memorial Dinner
Applicant may apply for any of the scholarships offered by the National Space Club and Foundation (R Scholarship, Keynote Scholarships in the same year but may only win one in the same year.

Wabash Cannon Ball Houston Scholarship
Amt: $5000 scholarships
Half of the money $2,500 will be paid at the start of the fall 2018 semester, with a requirement to maintain a 3.0 GPA in the first semester at K-State in order to earn the second payment $2500 in spring of 2019
High School Student living in the Houston Area
Must be admitted to Kansas State Univ. and have completed a general scholarship application. (priority deadline Nov. 1)
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a weighted or unweighted scale.
Complete the Wabash Cannon Ball Scholarship application to include biographical information, essay, activities, jobs, and special recognition.

Applications must be submitted online by 5:00 PM Friday, Dec. 1, 2017

This scholarship can be renewed while in college by keeping at least a 3.0 GPA

Be a senior at a Klein ISD high school
Plan to attend an institution of higher learning after graduation
Donated blood or Platelets at least twice at a Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center facility or blood drive or have been involved in blood drives or donor recruitment.
Complete an application form neatly printed or typed
A resume explaining your extracurricular activities, awards, etc
An official high school transcript, which includes the first semester of your senior year

US Citizens graduating seniors of HS after Sept 15th, in these counties:
Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, and Waller .
All completed applications and requirements must be received no later than 4:00 PM Feb 17, 2018

Amt: $6,000 anually for 4 years to 20 first year students $24,000

High School Army ROTC National Merit Scholarship

Amt: Can be awarded a 3 or 4 year scholarship
Covers full tuition and mandatory fees
3 year covers only 3 years of college
4 year covers 4 years full tuition+fees, book stipend and monthly stipend.
The book allowance is $1200 per year and receive a monthly tax free stipend scholarship awardees.
Depending on your level in the Army ROTC curriculum you are provided a monthly living allowance:
1 yr =$300 per month
2 yr=$350 per month
3 yr=$450 per month
4 yr=$500

High School Diploma or equivalent
Score of 920 on the SAT or 19 on ACT
Meet Physical standards
Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a reserve component( Army Reserve or Army National Guard)

Deadline: There are three boards held annually October January and March. Interviews are conducted at a local Army ROTC program or school prior to being eligible.
