Klein Independent School District is excited about the Global Business Pathway at Klein Forest HS. This magnet program is dedicated to propelling Klein students into the 21st century by preparing them for the fast approaching and inevitable multi-national business market.
Who can attend?
Students, regardless of their zoned high school campus, may seek entry into the Global Business Pathway. Entry into the program is based on an application process that begins in the Spring Semester prior to acceptance. Consideration for admission is based on interest in the program, grades, attendance, teacher recommendations, good citizenship, and individual interviews. What are the prerequisites?
The program works best if the 8th graders have taken Algebra 1.
What classes do I take?
This is a four-year program that encompasses the high school core curriculum emphasizing Dual Credit classes.
What is the purpose of GBP?
The graduates of GBP will have a strong academic, business, marketing, and foreign language foundation preparing them for the highly competitive, continuously and rapidly changing global environment. GBP students who successfully complete the Lone Star College core requirements (42 hours) and transferable electives (18 hours) could be eligible to obtain an Associates of Arts from Lone Star College.
